A warm welcome to you dear life traveler from the "heartland" of Pennsylvania. We send this greeting in the beautiful name of the Living Christ! We are an open and welcoming congregation that spreads its arms to all who seek to know the loving God of all creation. As a congregation we are learning from each other, from the community in which God has placed us and from Jesus who is alive and felt among us.

We are an outward bound fellowship. The City of Williamsport is in a mode of renewal and we are enjoying being a part of a downtown that is growing and envisioning a new future. We enjoy a rich fellowship with other churches and community groups. We participate in the witness of the almost two-hundred churches related to the United Churches of Lycoming County. We especially enjoy fellowshipping with our West Fourth Street neighboring churches: Shiloh Baptist, The Church of the Annunciation, St Paul's-Calvary United Methodist, The Church of the Good Shepherd, Covenant Central Presbyterian and Trinity Episcopal.

The Inward journey is also important. Spiritual growth sustains us over time. We praise God for new people joining our fellowship; they ask good questions and add quality to our life. The testimonies of new and old members inspire and renew. Our spiritual life is ordered:

In that Jesus comes first appreciating all that he said (and did not say) and did (and is doing);

Though the bible when it is studied and applied in the context of dialog and honest reflection in the gathered community;

By understanding 'Church' though loving mentors in the fellowship, by affirming parents/grandparents that live the Gospel as examples, and by cooperating in efforts of mission with people of faith well beyond the Baptist family;

When we understand more about science (what God is doing), acknowledge the contribution that a diverse human community gives to life and having an appreciation for the arts as creative expressions of God's creativity.
