Church Organist and Minister of Music: JoAnne Girton

JoAnne began taking piano lessons at age 7 from Ethel Sprout Schultz, an accomplished pianist, and continued to study with her until she went to college at Lycoming and Westminster. She has played keyboards professionally since age 14, and was the lead keyboardist with her brother Tom at many local restaurants and clubs. JoAnne has served several area churches playing the organ and piano, the last 25 years of which have been at First Baptist.

She has taught music in the public schools of East Lycoming and the Williamsport School District, and is a long time member of the Williamsport Music Club. JoAnne's accomplished playing and passion for music inspire people of all age groups.
